Cancellation & Refund Policy

This policy applies to all direct bookings at Shantai by the Lake, Guhagar and Swar Villa & Cottages, Guhagar. Bookings made through an online travel agent are governed by that agent's own terms.

Bookings paid in full

• Cancelled 14 days or more before check-in: 100% refund.
• Cancelled within 14 days but more than 7 days before check-in: 50% refund.
• Cancelled within 7 days of check-in: no refund.
• No show: no refund.

Bookings paid part in advance

• Cancelled 14 days or more before check-in: 100% refund of the amount paid.
• Cancelled within 14 days of check-in: the advance is non-refundable.

How to cancel

Write to shantaiholidays@gmail.com or message +91 99201 29136 with your booking reference. The cancellation takes effect from the time we receive your message, not from the date of your original booking.

Refund processing

Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method. Bank clearing typically takes 7–10 working days from the date of approval; the exact timing depends on your bank.

Payment terms

50% advance confirms a booking. The balance is payable at check-in. Full payment is required before check-in for all reservations.

Event and wedding bookings

Weddings, corporate events and full-property bookings are governed by the terms in the individual event contract, which take precedence over this page. Lawn rent and decor advances are generally non-refundable once vendors have been engaged.
