Privacy Policy
Shantai Resorts operates this website and the properties described on it. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do about it.
What we collect
When you send an enquiry or make a booking we collect your name, phone number, email address where provided, travel dates, guest count and any details you choose to include in your message. If you book through our booking engine, payment is handled by that provider and we never see or store your card details.
How we use it
- To respond to your enquiry and confirm your reservation
- To contact you about your stay before, during and shortly after it
- To meet legal obligations, including guest registration requirements
- To send offers, but only if you have asked us to
WhatsApp enquiries
Our enquiry forms open WhatsApp with your details pre-filled. Nothing is transmitted until you press send in WhatsApp itself. Messages you send us are subject to WhatsApp's own privacy terms in addition to this policy.
Analytics and cookies
We use standard web analytics to understand which pages are useful and where visitors struggle. These tools may set cookies in your browser. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will continue to work.
Third parties
We share your information only where it is necessary to deliver your stay — for example with our booking engine provider, or with a partner arranging a car or an activity you have requested. We do not sell personal information to anyone.
How long we keep it
Enquiry records are retained for as long as needed to serve you and to meet accounting and legal requirements, after which they are deleted.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to shantaiholidays@gmail.com and we will respond.
